History

As a result of the successful organization of the CVDCS 25th anniversary held in the spring of 1979, there was overwhelming support for the creation of the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association was founded in the year of 1983.

Financial Contributions:

As a result of its fundraising efforts the Alumni Association has been able to provide the following financial assistance: 
 

• Gymnasium curtains
• 500 chairs for the gymnasium
• Over $30,000 worth of sound and lighting equipment (Chemmy Stompers Band)
• Camera equipment
• Alumni Computer Laboratory (32 computers purchased)
• Highway signage
• $2,000 donated to the Student Equity Fund
• Annual Graduation exercise (student awards)
